The KYF flotation machine is a kind of aerated agitation flotation machine. It relies on the rotation of the impeller to drive the slurry from the periphery to the impeller blade from the lower end of the impeller through the bottom of the groove, which cannot achieve self-priming. In the actual application process, the XCF flotation machine has the advantages of strong stirring ability, uniform air dispersion, high flotation index and low power consumption, which can save energy by 30%-50%.
If it is a new mineral processing plant, the XCF flotation machine needs a height difference of 400-500mm between the operations, which leads to increased investment costs in infrastructure construction; for the old factory renovation, because the height and process height difference of the old factory is fixed, it is difficult to modify the height difference between operations. Therefore, the application of the KYF flotation machine is largely limited.
The XCF flotation machine is also a kind of aerated agitation flotation machine. It has the same U-shaped and cross-section structure as the KYF flotation machine and is also equipped with a dedicated air distributor in the impeller chamber. The difference is that when the impeller rotates, the XCF flotation machine directly sucks the ore from the blade on the impeller, and the slurry in the tank is sucked to the lower blade from the lower end of the impeller through the four sides so that self-priming can be realized. In terms of configuration, the horizontal configuration is possible without the addition of a foam pump.
Why is the KYF flotation machine used with the XCF flotation machine?
The practice has shown that the combination of the KYF flotation machine and the XCF flotation machine can improve the ladder configuration of the KYF flotation machine and remove the use of the foam pump. It provides a new way for the new plant flotation machine configuration and also provides an economical and easy way for the old plant flotation process.
The KYF flotation machine is equipped with the XCF flotation machine, so each machine can directly realize the plane configuration and reduce the capital investment. According to the general selection requirements, the KYF flotation machine needs about 5 steps for rough selection, sweeping and selection operations. This requires an increase of 2m height difference, which is necessary to increase infrastructure investment. If the two machines are combined and the horizontal configuration is set, the one-time investment of 40 million Yuan will be saved. In addition, with horizontal configuration, energy consumption can be reduced by more than 20%.
When the KYF flotation machine is used alone, the foam pump is required to return to the middle mine due to the step configuration, and the foam pump has high rotation speed, large line speed, fast wear of the impeller and the pump casing, and the degree of wear is 3-6 times of the flotation machine. In order to avoid reducing the foam pump's operating rate after use, a spare foam pump is generally added. Moreover, in the maintenance and repair work, the foam pump maintenance group needs to be added. The KYF flotation machine is used in combination with the XCF flotation machine. After the horizontal configuration, the foam pump is removed, which can improve the overall planting rate and avoid various disadvantages caused by the foam pump.
In addition, although the structure of the KYF flotation machine and XCF flotation machine adopt the U-shaped section, there is no upper blade suctioning inside the KYF flotation machine, and the XCF flotation machine has upper blade suctioning. The combination of the two machines can be used to complete the suction and ore mining operations by using the blades on the XCF flotation machine to improve the overall beneficiation efficiency. The combination of the two machines can also be used as a single-walled back-tilt blade design, which can make the contact surface of the blade and the slurry become larger, and can form a strong stirring capacity under the condition of lower rotation speed, thereby contributing to the promotion of slurry dispersion and the improvement of restart capability.
