How to Reduce the Dust Generated by the Briquette Machine Line

By: FTM MachineryOctober 14th,2021

As a tool for environmental protection and saving in the current industrial production process, the briquette machine is deeply favored by various businesses. But in the process of its work, the powder is pressed, it is inevitable that dust and fly ash will be produced. So how to reduce the dust generated by the briquette machine line?

1. Dust removal in the crushing and grinding section

There are many supporting equipments and processes on the briquette machine line, so the root cause of dust removal must be solved. In the briquette machine line, the first process to remove dust is the crushing and grinding section. The first method of dust removal is to choose a small air volume or have equipment that can adjust the air volume when selecting equipment in the crushing and grinding sections; When installing, try to choose a separate enclosed space, and the conveying equipment should also try to use enclosed models in this section.

2. Dust removal for mixing operations

In the briquette machine line, the mixing operation is also the hardest hit area of dust pollution. It is recommended to choose a closed mixer as much as possible when selecting equipment, which can effectively reduce the spread of dust.

3. Dust removal of the production line overall

In addition to the two serious dust pollution sections, the briquette machine line also needs to do some dust removal measures throughout the day, such as: the use of a sealed structure at the interface of each equipment, the installation of mist spray devices in the workshop where the production line is located, and install some dust collection devices in the workshop, etc., these measures can effectively reduce the dust pollution of the production line.

The dust removal of the briquette machine line is a very important event. The degree of harm of metallurgical dust to the human body depends on the amount of dust inhaled by the human body, the way of dust intrusion, the location of dust deposition, and the physical and chemical properties of the dust. Among the many dusts, asbestos dust and dust containing free silica are more harmful to the human body. Asbestos dust not only causes asbestos lung, but also has carcinogenicity; dust containing free silica can cause silicosis, and dust containing more than 70% of free silica is more harmful to the human body. The particle size of the dust is different, the harm to the human body is also different, and the dust of 2 microns to 10 microns is more harmful to the human body. In addition, charged dust, dust with low solubility, dust with high hardness, and dust with irregular shapes are more harmful to the human body, so the dust removal work of the production line cannot be delayed.
