How to Choose Stone Crusher

Before introducing the stone crusher selection scheme, let us first have an in-depth understanding of the more commonly used stone crushers, which will make it easier for everyone to choose later. At present, the commonly used stone crushers mainly include jaw crushers, cone crushers, impact crushers, and fine crushers.

1. Jaw crusher

The jaw crusher is mainly used in the initial breaking stage of the production line. It is suitable for the medium and coarse crushing of various ores with a compressive strength of not more than 300Mpa and large materials. It belongs to the principle of squeeze crushing. It has the characteristics of large crushing force and reliable operation.

The feed size of the jaw crusher is usually about 125-1200mm, and the hourly production capacity is between 1-1200t. There are many models, including PE200×300, PE250×400, PE400×600, and PE500×750. The larger the model, the higher the production capacity.

2. Cone crusher

The cone crusher is mainly used in the fine crushing stage of the production line. It is suitable for crushing medium and fine-grained ores with medium hardness and above. The production capacity is high, but the product size is poor. There is an overload protection device, which can make foreign objects and iron blocks pass through the crushing chamber without harming the machine.

The output capacity of cone crusher is between 12-700t per hour, and the commonly used models are Φ600, Φ900, and Φ1200

3. Impact crusher

Like the cone crusher, the impact crusher is mainly used for the fine crushing of materials. It belongs to the percussive crushing principle, and is more suitable for processing soft materials with a side length of less than 500mm and a compressive strength of less than 350MPa. The product has a good grain shape, a cubic shape, and less stone powder.

The output capacity per hour of counterattack is about 30-800t, and the feed size is between 300-800mm, which is adjustable. Recommended commonly used models: PF1010, PF1214, PF1210.

4. Fine crusher

The fine crusher is also called the split hammer-head fine crusher. The fine crusher belongs to the percussion crushing principle, which combines the advantages of various crushers, and has the characteristics of energy saving, environmental protection, and good grain shape. It is especially suitable for medium and fine crushing operations of soft materials such as weathered rock, dolomite, shale soil, and agglomerate.

The hourly production capacity of the fine crusher is between 20-200t, and the commonly used models are recommended: 800×600, 800×800, 1010×1010, 1200×1200.

Which stone crusher is better to use and how to choose?

The above four types of rock crushers are all easy to use, each has its own advantages, and the suitable materials and equipment performance are not the same, so we can only say that it is better to choose the suitable one according to the actual situation.

  • If your production line lacks a rough crushing equipment, then you can choose a jaw crusher;
  • If you need a fine crushing equipment to process soft materials, you can choose an impact crusher or a fine crusher; if you want to process hard materials, you can choose a cone crusher;
  • If you need to have requirements for the product size, it is recommended that you choose a counterattack crusher; if you have requirements for output, it is recommended that you choose a cone crusher.
